Fuel gauge sender revisited
 

I started a post quite a while ago looking for info regarding my malfunctioning fuel gauge on my 80' short bed. Well since then my fuel gauge has stopped working all together. I have a 83' that I can rob the tank/ sender out of however that's only going to leave me with a fuel tank/ sender issue when it comes time to build that truck.
So I either need a source for a new fuel gauge sender for my existing tank. Or possibly a cross reference for maybe a newer (larger capacity!?!) tank/ sender that I can easily retrofit into my truck.

You are probably not ever going to find an new sender, but you could possibly repair the old one. I did get my old one from my 81 to working again. It was documented here. There are a lot of posts concerning senders that you can search this forum.

I happened to be on eBay as I read this. There is a used one that the seller claims i good and it looks to be in good condition.

I also like the idea of rebuilding it if it is possible.
