Fitting Leaf Springs
The other day I gave a neighbor in town some help with a CV axle repair job. Afterwards she pointed out a pile of Toyota parts her ex left behind. I rummaged through and found a set of leaf springs and a roll bar, both of which look almost new. She said I'd be doing her a favor getting them out of her yard, so I was more than happy to take them.
So here's my question, she said these springs came off a late 80s (see pic below) are these a set of rear springs, and will they fit on my 83 4x4 pickup? The number on top reads R-35701-A, and one has two ++ before it and the other has one +. Thanks guys.https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.yot...b33aa302e0.jpg |
Unrelated but here's a picture of the roll bar, for anyone interested.

measure your old springs eye to eye and compare the eye to eye length of the freebies

IIRC, Toyota started putting much longer leaf springs on the rear of their trucks to soften the ride beginning in 1984. So if my memory is correct, the answer may be no.

They look about the same length, but I haven't measured yet, I'll get to it tomorrow.
