Damn, mine is too. I keep bending the blades back further and further hoping to solve the problem but it still wants to chink from time to time. I am going to look at getting another fan and pulley somewhere that will bring the belt closer to the alternator. I think the problem is caused by the belt pulling the belt pulley on the alternator at a different angle than was intended for the alternator. This is caused by the pulley being out farther than it should be. It definitely sticks out further for me now than it did the old Toyota alternator. Can anyone on this forum help?!?!?!??!!?

Don't do it! Your only going to bring the pulley out farther, and further exacerbate the problem!!!!!!!!!!!

See I have a home made bracket and my pulley needs to go forward just a hair.

Well I killed the cs120. The external fan has locked up on it. I think the armature bearing are shot. I need to get another one now. But I do have a lifetime warranty so it's ok. i want to try reversing the pulley so it can be shimed closer to the altenator. I think this will correct the issue with the sheer load that was being applied to the alternator. Any suggestions?

I just got another new alt and I was looking at a piece of technical documentation that it came with on all the terminals and what they are and according to it the L (charge circuit) wire must have voltage on it with the key turned to ignition so tell the alt to start charging. Now when the key is turned to the ignition position but no engine on I get voltage on the sense and ignition wires but none on the charge wire. This has to be my problem.
what pulley part # did you get? Does the belt line up well with it? They recommend I get a pwm1111 pulley

Well, i decided to just get the GM 1 wire alternator from Napa Auto. It fits well and is very simple. I used the stock belt on it and gave it proper tightness. But after driving it for one day, it has started to develop some bearing noise. I need to go take it back and get another one today. Also gonna put a new distributor gasket in so no more oil leaks down on my alternator. I will post an update soon.
