1982/83 Toyota Mojave 4x4
I found this the today when I was getting a set of tires for my Chevy Tracker. I found there was 500 4x4 ones made, they were a special order from japan, and of course are insanely rare. The body and frame are excellent, the original seats are inside his house and he says he has an attic full of parts. I'm not sure of the whole history, but I know it has spent a lot of its life inside a barn under a tarp. He's the second owner, and it's for sale. What's it worth and are there parts available? The interior needs to be done and not sure of anything else mechanically. Heres the pics:

yeah .. these are rare beauties all right .. expecially for the USA crowd .. there Mojaves consisted of 2WD's and us here in Canada got both 2 and 4WD's ..
The Mojave specific parts are no longet avaliable .. I searched for a year for a chrome mirror , finaly had to get one chromed .. not sure what it's worth .. I suspect , what someone is willing to pay for it !! over at http://toyotatrekker.proboards.com/index.cgi there is a "Mojave specific" fourm .. i'm sure they would love to see the pics as well . |
Could be a nice truck, I'm not a restoration kinda guy, would make a nice wheeler.

Thanks, for the input, it has been posted on the other forum now. I don't want to seem like an as*hole but if I ever do get this, its not going anywheres near mud or the trails, haha. Way to rare for that.

body is perfect, looks like the grill and exhaust is stilling in the bed, looks like the dash is tore apart. Can't really tell, but it looks as though there is no seat, or at least the back of one. Sliding glass on the back window is smashed.
Hope the sunroof doesn't leak, nice tires in the bed. I'm liking the black and copper look though. Can't put a price on it though, just don't let the guy i know you know it's as rare as it is. It does need quite a bit of work yet. |
The window is not a big deal, I am friends with a guy that owns a glass place in town, I have given lots of business to the best exhaust guy in town. The tires in the bed are for a four wheeler haha, but he has a nice set of 33's with rims inside. Seeing if the sunroof leaks is not a big deal, it has been raining nonstop for the last little while. Has then been any finished ones go for sale recently? Any idea what it would sell for finished?
