1981 Toyota Pickup Gas Pedal Help
I am needing to get a new accelerator pedal for my 81 pickup, but searching online isn't really pointing me in a helpful direction of getting a new one. It's a mechanical floor-mounted accelerator, which most parts carriers I'm finding, don't have.

You might check out KawaZX636 post #796 in the build up section. He did a mod to his truck that might work for you.

Took mine off because so corroded at the base where it attached it would always stick. I Just drive with the lever, and no peddle attached. Haven't really missed it or notice.

Had a junk Ford Ranger out back. Cut the pedal out of it and welded it to the Toyota gas pedal rod. It doesn't hook to the floor.

yeah .. easiest thing is to just weld or find a "bolt on" foot piece for the existing rod ..
I just pulled one out of one of my parts trucks , but its NOT for sale . https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.yot...afac07e5ae.jpg |
I gotta rust free '81 that doesn't need its pedals anymore. If you cover shipping it's yours.
