1981 pickup vacuum problems

i have a 1981 4x4 pickup with a 22r that was bought in oregon. for a short period of time my dad was going to get rid of it so he gave it to my neighbor to work on,in short the truck came back worse than before. well i went through it and i replaced a lot of things but cant figure out the vacuum hoses. We went and bought two haynes manuals and a mitchell shop manual and the diagrams only show california and federal,canada.....what i was wondering is there any difference between california emissions and oregon emissions and if you could steer me in the right direction for good diagrams for my pickup, thank you:think:

first off yes the Cal and Oregon emissions are different California is way stricter. however after certain years here in WA you no longer need to worry about emission im not sure on California. I would call the emissions place and ask. I would go off the Cali diagrams i wont really matter

So have you removed any lines so far and need the diagrams for because you forgot were they run? if so Maybe the dealer could print you some copies but such an old vehicle can be hard to find sometimes. If you havent removed any lines I would just label them and take lots of pics. there arent to many lines really and most are similar in size. I would buy a good length of line and replace all the hoses you can. hope this helps some

yeah i needed the diagrams because when i got the truck back there were some missing and some plugged at the end and i have no clue where some go so ill check with the dealer. ya i think california has a certain year when emissions dont matter but i think its 77 or something like that, let me tell ya one wrong hose can make it run like an outhose, thanks for the help:great:
