1979 Toyota Pickup Stalling Issue
#21
Alright so I still have a bad voltage drop issue. At least I think I do... What should the voltage be when the high beams, heater on full blast, brake lights windshield wipers, and hazards are on? Cause it is still stalling after a while of driving... My grounds are all good, and when it's under a full electrical load. It sits around 12.8 volts. Shouldn't that be ok? I drove it around all day yesterday no problem, but when the headlights come on the voltage slowly drops and it starts stalling. The icm isn't more warm than usual but the coil is seriously almost hot enough to fry an egg. I'm thinking that might have something to do with it? I can show you guys my wiring for the coil but it has been fine for so long already. Who knows, I have to move tomorrow over 600 miles away so I am hoping you guys have some wise words for me. I hate to say it but I'm desperate.

Where are you checking the voltage? When the truck is running the reading at the battery should be over 13 volts, if you want your battery to charge. I've never checked mine, though, to be sure.
I never paid attention to my coil so I don't know if it gets hot.
