1979 toyota 4x4 lifted

Hi guys i am completely new to toyotas, I actually dont own one but hope to change that tommorrow I have the chance to purchase a 1979 4x4, well ill just post the add..LIFTED 79 TOYOTA 4X4 EX SHOW TRUCK
69,000 ORIGINAL MILES 3" BODY LIFT 9" SUSPENSION LIFT
FRAME AND BODY ARE BOTH VERY NICE
MUST SEE THIS TRUCK TO APPRECIATE,NO DISAPPOINTMENTS,

its needs new tires currently has 42s, i was thinking 36s-37s any idea on how this would look?? guy is holding on to this for me for 6 grand should be in VERY good cond for 79. worth that?? spent an hour on the phone with him he appeared to be very trust worthy, he lives about an hour away and i only got crap pictures in the dark, his son who owns the truck is sending better ones my way later and i will post.. any advice with really help me with this decison, i live in ohio btw would be losing the body lift and a few inches of tire for legality

If it is a show truck the mileage is probably accurate but keep in mind toy trucks had 5 digit odometers up to 81
9" springs if mounted in the stock location are gonna have an arch like McDonald's and ride like a tank.

25 shocks? I just wonder since that was kind of the norm in the 80's. Times change, some of the paint schemes were impressive.
Looking forward to the pic. Photobucket.com is a great hosting service. Just copy and paste the [img] code into your post.
Good luck!

Dunno if it has that many, just remember seeing forests of chrome under mini trucks in the 80's

Wondering if it's not 169.000 miles, anyway looks cool seems to be in good shape, you have any other pics, interior motor info etc. like the 80's paint if you do get it I would leave it. Keep us posted!!

If it is a 79 good chance it is a 20r (2.2l) with an L-43 4 speed..I would look for the DOT date code on those tires, if they are really old replacing them could be expensive..
