Old Man Emu lift kit

Old Man Emu complete lift kit for a 1985 Toyota 4Runner or any other solid axle application using the stock spring locations. I bought this kit for my '85 4Runner, but I'm selling it now so I don't need the kit. It includes everything: Nitrocharger shocks, Dakar leaf springs, steering stabilizer, greasable shackles, U-bolts, anti-inversion plates, all necessary bushings, etc. This kit is brand new, never installed. I did scuff up the shocks and steering stabilizer in order to paint them, but haven't painted them. Not down to bare metal, just the clear coat. I bought this kit from www.cruiseroutfitters.com for $1500, have the receipt. Asking $1300. PM me if you have any questions or would like to come take a look. Cash only, no trades. Thank you.

Damn, I'm weighing my options...piece it together, or go for the gusto.
Had no idea whole kits were that much, I know OME is no joke.

Yeah, not cheap but a great kit. I haven't heard anyone complain about it. Let me know if you want to come check it out.

JFW 05-19-2015 05:47 AM

Oh, and I thought about piecing it together too. There was no way I was going to get everything I got in this kit for $400. That's like springs and shocks maybe. ;)

I have this kit up for sale on the Fresno Toyota 4x4 facebook group page and a couple others if you want to see a couple pics. One of the pages has a comment where the guy posted a pic of his buddy's truck he just helped put this kit on. Or search for the user WarDamnEagle here or on Ih8mud. He has the kit on his 85. Awesome rig.

WDE's runner looks great.
I had to piece together a lift for my samurai down in Antigua, out of necessity, because I didn't find any whole kits that I liked. I really don't want to go that route again, such a pita.
ooH I'm so conflicted.

joesgarage 05-19-2015 07:56 AM

would you sell front springs and shocks?

JFW 05-19-2015 08:08 AM

Sorry Joe, all or nothing.

JFW 05-19-2015 08:10 AM

Aww, damn! I can ship if you want to pay for it. I could do $1150 for the kit, absolute lowest.

I'm going to plead my case with the wife.
Going to be hard to sell her on it. She said before I should just throw big tires on it and run with that. Lol.
I'll get back to you asap.

JFW 05-19-2015 10:30 AM

Haha, I know how that goes! Good luck! I'm pulling for ya!

It's not looking good. She acted like I was asking her to meet my gf.

We're going on a 3 hour road trip this afternoon, and we're taking the 4runner, so I'll hit every pothole and bump in the road to illustrate the gravity of our situation.

Haha! Gotta love that reaction.

Love the plan. Hope it works!

No, I'm not splitting it up ever. I'll put the entire kit on my '85 that I'm going to sell before I get stuck with random parts. Sorry.
