Ive been trying to sell my 80 for a while with no luck. Gas is just getting ridiculus for having to commute. So if there is anyone who has a first gen 4runner (84-89) with a 22re 5spd and preferably a solid axle in the front (can be sas) and are looking for an 80 let me know! Also consider 2nd gen runners with 22re only. It can be a little rough but dont want a rust bucket. Can be stock or have a few mods, also consider projects that are running, extra parts are a plus. I also would preffer to trade down to with cash on your end, not really interested in straight trades. I am also willing to travel if you wanna meet half way or throw me gas money, would like to stay in the Midwest but if your serious maybe we can work something out. The 80 has 260k on original motor with original hg, runs strong and has no clicks, or knocks, or bangs. Trans shift great, t/c shift into low fine and cdl engages instantly, lockers engage just fine to. Is throwing p401 code (insufficient flow to egr) runs fine regardless. Has lots of new parts new koyo radiator at 225k, whole cooling system flushed including block, rear heater lines, transcooler ect...
Rotors front and rear (toyota), brakepads, battery, ujoints(toyota), 32" toyo open county mt(not so new anymore still good tread tho). Also has a newer bumper with no micro dents allover it. All fresh fluids, engine oil, tranny fluid, transfercase, and diffs. Birfs topped of with moly, u joints and driveshaft greased. Also has a new oem rear windshield and moulding, along with a new oem power steering pump and high pressure hose, also replaced all the low pressure lines with new tranny oil hose. No rust on body except for quarter size bubble on hatch. Door sills, rockers, and wheelswells, are rock solid as well as the frame, frame only has very minor surface rust. Not a midwest rust bucket by any means. Interior is in good shape with usual wear on front seats, I also removed the faded faux wood trim. Truck has no 3rd row, flares, or badges.
