1997 4runner 3.4 SR5 4wd Project $600
 

I bought this truck to fix up but I don't have the time to mess with it. Previous owner was a young female with zero understanding of how to maintain a engine. Some one some how overfilled the engine with 6 quarts of oil! I don't know how but this damaged the oil rings, the truck can smoke out a whole neighborhood in 60 seconds. Engine runs very rough and will not idle. I made a poor assumption that the head gaskets where blown and replaced them and many of the seal with new oem Toyota. This made zero difference. The good new is the engine has not been overheated and the cylinder walls look to be in great shape.

The Good:
Minimal surface rust on frame, no holes.
Can drive on and off of a trailer.
4 newer A/T tires with lots of tread.
Every single body panel is the original panels.
I have a spare 5VZ to go with the truck, was rebuilt 120k ago but somehow the previous owner managed to snap the crank in two! My original plan was to swap the good crank into the good block and have a good running engine.
Sale will include right and left brand new oem still in the plastic lower front ball joints.

The Bad:
Doglegs near rear doors are rusted through, rear quarters are starting to bubble.
The engine will need a full rebuild, oil rings are gone!
The entire body has dents and dings from hail.
Radio is missing.
I have not been able to drive this truck at speed so I don't know for sure if the transmission is in good working order. Shifts and moves fine from forward to reverse.
