You shouldn't have a problem. Where I live you don't have to smog a diesel unless its new. The test is nowhere near as stringent like gas. I'm an 81 there shouldn't be any smog for a diesel

That really is a good deal. I have been pricing replacements for a customers 22re and they are about the same cost. I remember when we could find a good 22re for a few hundred dollars. Getting harder to come by I reckon. GLWS. I'd like to have it myself.

Alright. I have decided to drop the price down to $500 for the diesel engine and everything that goes with it. I need to move this piece of history. Shoot me an offer.

That really is an incredible price.
You should list the engine number/name....its either a 2L,3L or 5L(totally guessing here). probably a 2L(guessing). IIRC you can source a 3L head fro the 2L to give it a few more ponies.
That may help folks doing searches.
also, you refer to a fuel pump, are you talking about the injection pump? Those hang off the side of the engine, and do not use an intank pump. Some diesels will use a lift pump in the tank, helps the injector pump in some instances. That would explain why you don't have one in your tank now.
Good Luck with the sale.

I'd glady trade you $750 worth of parts - I have 200+ parts and have wanted a diesel forever but never found a complete swap which was cheap enough
Does this come with the diesel gas tank

RBX; it is a 2 liter gas engine in the truck now. When the diesel engine was in the truck the fuel pump was on the frame externally. I chose an external gas fuel pump to replace it as at the time I was hoping to mod the truck and make it my daily driver.
Erick561; yes it does come with the diesel gas tank. I am not sure if I mentioned that in my posting or not. I thought I did, but yes it does come with all the other pieces for this engine swap.
