Well I decided to see what the toyota could do and I was amazed at some of the stuff it could climb in 4 low. I just went poking around at a river crossing.
Nothing to serious like I've seen on the boards.

Cant beat the sunset in Texas.

Doesn't matter where you go, as long as you GO.

Nice pics!

if you really want to surprise yourself, air your tires down to 18psi and do the same trail..

THanks guys. I was doing fine with 35 PSI so I didn't air down. I don't have an on board air compressor so i couldn't air down even if I wanted to.....maybe it's time to get one.

Not fair! My 87's ext.cab windows don't open, I can't get a "truck" license plate in CA, and a girl in a denim skirt never came with my truck... haha

Nice rig man, cool pics. X2 on trying the same trail after airing down. My truck has shocked me a few times with what it could do with a little less PSI. Keep wheelin' man

Sweet pics, might be time to invest in some recovery gear even if your not doing hard stuff. Shovel, hilift, hand winch. I always get into trouble doing stuff to scare/impress female passengers

I hate to admit it but my truck rarely sees an off-road action. This is the only place I know about and it's a long way from my home. I already have a hijack but I would like some recovery straps too just for the hell of it. And the Girlfriend seems to enjoy the off-roading hobby so everything is gravy. Ha

if you want, plenty of members on here drive their trucks around every day at 28 psi.. so try that.

Brownwood? I'm probably going to be down there in the middle of next month. If I bring the 4runner we should hook up for a day trip.

Oh and don't freak out too much about lower air pressure in the tires. I forgot to air back up from a wheeling trip a few years ago (too much beer the night before) and drove 2.5 hours back home on tires with 12psi in them. Didn't do any harm other than lowering my fuel milage a little.

Yeah my parents have a ranch near brownwood that we go up to every now and then just to get away from the city. It's a direct halfway point from my house in Katy and the university in Lubbock so i stop there and rest over night when I'm going home. There aren't much places to wheel there though. :/
