Twin Lakes, Mt Baker WA 11-15-08

I've been meaning to post some pics of my trip with the kids to Twin Lakes of of Mt Baker Highway here in WA. Enjoy!

Here's the trailhead:

On the way up:

At the lakes(these are actually of the south lake):

On the way down:

I meant to do this at the lakes, but I forgot till I was all ready down a switch back or two!

It was a perfect day!! Clear as bell and relatively warm for 5000+ feet! I could have swore the snow was deeper, but it was only like 1-2 inches. I think it would be pretty exciting to do this road with 4-6 inches!!!

Wanted to thank lgrt for his post(https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f100...ker-wa-161217/) that reminded me to do this.

Thanks, it's the wifes and thank god she just put brand new BFG A/T KO's on because that would have been REALLY exciting with the ol' factory slicks!

Yeah man, I couldn't believe the weather!! It was calm and the bald eagles were up circling the lake. Actually, I wasn't alone! As soon as I hit the trail from the highway I had a second gen Runner come barrelin up behind me. I let them go ahead, so I could enjoy the views. When I got to the spot where the latrine is there was three vehicles there. When I got to the lakes the second gen was there and two other vehicles. So, I went back to the south lake to let them be and a Jeep Liberty showed up. It was pretty busy!!
