I'm sure that's for the "brochure appearance", but it seems that they wouldn't work too hard if they were just gonna ditch 'em. Though, they'd have major liability issues if they sold them, so maybe they will crush 'em... bummer.

Mark, Rockcrawlingtoy one of the members of the team confirms it in my thread over on the FJ Crusiers forum on page 2.

Well, it was an awesome day of wheeling as usual. I followed the Yellow Trail Team rig up Izzy along with the ARB 4Runner, the Revtek FJC and the Revtek Tacoma. WOW, what an awesome group of people. We had a blast but it was fairly slow going. We had a truck break a birf on the rocky section before the stairstep and by the time we got to the bridge, the ARB, TRail Team a, and Revtek rigs had to get back to "base camp."
So, I start heading up past the bridge a ways since I was in the lead at that time. I was an idiot and did not wait for a spotter and I got hung up on a huge pointy rock right under the center of my truck. Luckily the only damage it ended up doing was a little paint off of my driveline, a bent 3/16" steel bellypan, and a very dented exhaust pipe.
With the help of David Zartman from Toyota Owner Magazine and a bunch of others (whom I'd like to thank for the hi-lift and rock stacking help) we managed to lift my truck up from the front, back and side and stack enough rocks under my tires to allow me to back off the rock.
It was awesome to see the vendor rigs tackling the toughest of obstacles without hesitation. I was impressed by the new FJC's and it was an honor to be wheeling with them. As I mentioned before it was an awesome day of wheeling with a great turn out.
Until next time, Jason
Here are some teasers, I will be uploading the rest of my pics.

I said this on another forum but the part of the rear bumper that was knocked off both FJs is worthless. I unintentionally removed the one on my passenger side piece on a trail by setting it down on a log.

I would get lost going to Reiter.
I really really need a talking GPS.
One of those Tom Toms or another talking GPS is in order for the future.
But yes, I couilod dig going to Reiter in the near future.
There are lots of nice trails up there that you can run damage free.

I would like to put one up on the webpage I made.
Also, what was the trail called where Will, I, you & Jim went on by ourselves.
Thanks,

The loop we made starting before the creek, then ending up with that final creek crossing was basically the very bottom section of the Lake Isabel Trail. We bailed out before we got to any of the named obstacles, but had we continued on, that is where we would have gone.

BTW, Mark it was nice to meet you. I was the guy who recognized your vehicle late in the afternoon and talked to you for awhile.
Yeah I know I am really coming out of the wood work on this post considering I haven't posted in a year but I really missed you guys

They're supposedly going to swap the frame out because he ˟˟˟˟ it up good. he broke a link and the link mount was bent to hell. he also broke his rear ring gear. from what i hear, every tooth was stripped out/ground down.
Lessons learned: don't spend $35k on a rig, add $10k in bumpers/sliders/winch/lift/wheels/tires/etc. and expect to be able to drive the rubicon. He had never taken it offroad(or been offroad) before the trip. Check out the flamming on ttora:

The funny thing is that Toyota had an FJ there that made it pretty much without a scratch. That FJ also broke a ring gear, but on the last leg of the trail.
