Rattlesnake Bar, California 9/5/11
Did a little Labor Day holiday wheeling at Rattlesnake Bar. The water was kinda high as usual, which really sucks because its actually a pretty neat place to wheel. Nice little group of us and we all did pretty well. a few tippy spots, but simple spotting and a few moments we were all good. Here's some pictures

MaK92 - 4RnR - you might want to consider flipping your jack the other way so that the lifting point sticks up, it'd suck to snag that on something and damage it! The bumper looks good though! Makes me reconsider adding a jerry can mount on to the swing out that I'm making for my bumper.

looks like fun times.
i was disappointed when i went out there about a month ago...water too high and everything fun, like the "bowl area" is under water. the RC could still wheel out there though y'all must have been glad i already broke all the branches away from the tight, rutted out section of trail (where the jeep was stuck last time all of us were out there) with my Cruiser's paint

its part of folsom lake here in california. Folsom is a pretty big lake and theres a lot of places to get to it. Rattlesnake bar is just known for being an offroad area. ( but lately with the water high, its being used to swim at )

Yeah. lol thats why were saying that the water was ridiculously high. Folsom lake has the Folsom dam, they drain water out of it. we had like 150% more snow this year... so the water is outrageous

water level is WAY too high and all the good stuff is underwater. Folsom lake doesn't even open the area anymore when the water level is low enough to access these areas because too many full-size guys go out there to "go mudding" and drive in the water and screw up the ecosystem. AND they charge you $10 to get in.
if you wanna go wheeling, we should all get together before the weather really changes and hit up a trail like Squaw Ridge, Eagle Lakes, Signal Peak, or go out to Greenhorn, Foresthill, or Prairie City.
