Pismo Jamboree 2010 Event report and pictures
Well I'll save the usual long speech but I will say I had a great time!
This was my 3rd year in a row and one of the best years yet. I have no clue on the amount of trucks we had.. but I estimate close to 75 total.
My buddy Kevin popped a head gasket on his 3VZ.. but other then that I didn't hear of any other major carnage!
I arrived to the beach on friday around 3 ish.. Joe had just gotten in.. some of the norcal guys had just gotten in.. camp was bustling
I caravan-ed up to Pismo with my friend Jason..
Troy
Joe
That was it for friday.. I made some BOMB sloppy joes just as the sun was going down and we settled in around a camp fire and threw back a few..
Saturday we got up and didn't have time to cook breakfast before the group shot.. so we waited around and then went and got pictures.
After that we headed back to camp and chilled out till about noon when we started the GPS challenge.
We had a pretty large group for the challenged but still had a great time.
Just a few of the norcal guys..
After that we headed back to camp and just chilled, waited for dinner at 5.
Tundra pulling tundra..
Left to right.. Joe, Me, Troy, Jason.
Dinner was sandwhiches from Roxies Deli from San Fransisco
After dinner we went and hit the dunes for another hour or so..
Jason gettin it done
Troy
Joe found a sweet jump!
Sunset saturday night
We made our way back to camp before dark and started the party.
Joe's birthday was approaching, so we got down!
At one point, I decided to double fist it. One of the beers was going to go to waste..
I got way drunk and don't remember the rest of the night..
Thanks for coming out everyone! See you next year!
Post up your pictures!!!

There's only one word I could use to decribe how sick the jamboree was. too bad i'd get an infraction for putting it here...
haha I'll be uploading my pictures tomorrow at work. I have somewhere near 200 of them. Tons of you, Steve. Tons of joe, a few of troy and Jason. also a bunch of the photo shoot and GPS challenge... also we have video from the GPS challenge, as well as a jump Joe did.
haha you were hella drunk on saturday night. you came over and chilled with us at the nor cal camp. I was sleeping but heard you and came out of the tent hah.
being that this was my 1st jamboree event. Im definitely going next year... it was bangin!
Also, was there any damage to report? I know your buddy blew a HG, and someone flopped on the way down to the event. but what else? I busted my fender up pretty good by accident... haha
I'll announce my raffle prizes tomorrow as well

Dude we left the beach at like.. 1.. thats deff not early for us. I'm used to leaving at around 10 in the morning.. But instead I woke up at ten.
I saw you guys chillin when I was packing up, then before we left I noticed you were probably out wheelin. Oh well.
We hit splash cafe in pismo and finally left town at about 2...

i sprayed down my truck again last night, and today im going to wash the hella out of it. i might build a sand box at my house since i have enough in my ass crack and my truck to fill it up. the trip was an absolute blast, and it was cool to finally meet some of the yotatech, ultimate yota, and ttora guys. wish it didnt go by so damned fast! next year my truck will be way more equipt. a few scary points and a ****load of fun parts. the raflle was awesome. i won 5 times mike won 3 and i think matt won 4 or 5 times. got hooked up like a towtruck! cant wait to see the pics that mike and matt have posted. 618 round trip well worth it. not including the 85 miles my gf and i put on it in the dunes!

My Review:
First time going, I'm gonna have to say I was all smiles. I knew what was planned and what not, but it was beyond my expectations. Had an amazing time, finally met some long time YT/UY/TTORA members and what not. Won a couple things at the raffle. I even accidentally jumped my truck off a 4-6 foot cliff/hill and safely landed it. the fender couldn't exactly handle stuffing a 33x10.50 with no lift, so the bolts broke on it. but all in all, had a great time. the GPS challenge was banging, even though I didn't understand the outcome of it? lol went down some pretty crazy mountain sides. got some good pictures and attended every event scheduled! I'll definitely be more prepared for the next years event ( this year was prepared for more of a 1st time for everything ) and I believe that this time around definitely made of my mind as far as SAS/LT, especially after seeing PismoJoe launch his Toyota a 10+ feet through the air. I had a few issues with being 4.10s and 33s ( bogged down at the top of the hills ) but I just gave it more gas and it worked out. Maybe if funds are good, I'll have LT by the next year rolls around. but besides all that, Tons of fun, Barely any carnage. Definitely attending next year

here's a video of me cruising... I'm only in first gear, you can hear me shift to second at the end, but it just bogs down... 33x10.50 and 4.10s are not a good combination on sand!
