Ched: nope just wanted to thank him for spottin me and bein a nice guy. Just sayin sup since I didnt get to say goodbye to such a cool guy.

fooddood i'll answer the question for you. Yes he was down there this weekend actually. He goes down there every once ina while..i'll let him expound.

SloPoke 09-20-2004 06:15 PM

Given his profession, you can see why he keeps his contact info minimal and top secret. Way too much demand for that man. Anyways...I'll get the clear from him to give ya his personal addy and either aim it ot PM it to ya. I'm sure he won't have any problems with it but I first need his OK. You understand. I'd do the same for you if you had any friends. :booty:

BTW: Yur right, he's one hell of a nice guy!
and wheels that lifted and lok't SuperCharg'd '03 DoubleCab like a mofo!

Nathan Buchanan 09-21-2004 07:07 AM

Hey, does anyone here have a sorta-maroon colored 2 gen solid axle 4runner? I've seen it a few times driving up and down 11th street here in Tulsa. It looks pretty sweet.

outdoorfever 09-21-2004 07:42 AM

Nathan: thats a guy Kelly, kelley(sp), he lives in the area of TU.

Dale: You gotta come up next time. It was a great time and i'd love to see your truck in action...

Ched: yea i know, its unfortunate that i dont have any friends, thats why i rely on dumb ppl like you!!! ahaha! if you could sometime, pm or hit me on aim for his numba. preciate it!

Ah, a little friction there? All I know is I saw him heading up the powerline hill first...

speaking of that, could a maroon 4runner be confused with a maroon chevy?
{rhetorical question}

outdoorfever 09-21-2004 09:35 AM

^^that was exactly my point, i let someone else say it for me.

as far as the maroon chevy deal, we were tryin to figure that out as well. We just figured it was his 4runner they were talkin about.

No friction here.
He had nothing to do with YT or Violent so if he wants to take a different route to the trail than the convoy, or head off away from the group whilst the group is waiting for someone that's broke down, by all means, he can do it. If he wants to be part of the group, he needs to BE part of the group. Not a guy that bolts or complains when others run in to problems.

Nathan Buchanan 09-21-2004 01:23 PM

Well hell, I think his 4runner looks pretty cool anyway :), just curious if it was anyone here.

outdoorfever 09-21-2004 01:24 PM

Ched, who had problems?

SloPoke 09-21-2004 05:10 PM

Nathan: Don't get me wrong. He's a nice guy that's pretty informative. Owns a really nice SAS'd runner on 35 BFG M/T's but on the way to the trail he went his own way and almost got the convoy seperated. Then once we hit the trail and someone got hung up or a flat, he bailed on the group and wheeled on his own to later meet up with the group and jump in front trying to dictate wich trail the group took. That would of normally been fine but this group was way diverse and not everyone wanted to run hardcore trails. Bad trail/wheeler etiquette is all. Other than that, nice rig.

No...it was the weekend before...I went to Tuttle in Manhattan, Kansas.

Came back with a crazy vibration in what I thought was the driveline. Turns out to be the tires that can no longer be balanced. Guess I took off a little too much tread wheelin on Sunday.

Only decent pic from the day...

Ranski,

What'd you air down to? I hit 16 in front and 20 in back and both did pretty good, although I think I may stay with 20 all round next trip.

They did as good as I expected, but didn't really have a lot of mud to try them out with. However, on the rocks they were good and I don't think I lost any tread (well, no visible damage). heh, mine are still balanced!

Ranski 09-22-2004 01:47 PM

I typically run 18lbs front & back. As for my tires they do have 60K on them and although they still have good tread, they have thrown some serious chucks over the past year.
