Paint Creek, TN 9/3/07

Went to Paint Creek today nestled in the mountains of East Tennessee. A really gorgeous place, plenty of much and trails. Thought you guys would enjoy!

I know man! It was kind of hard with only two of us, didn't need spotters on most of the spots, and we only had phones so we just didn't want to deal with the hassle while we were getting out of our vehicles and spotting getting back in, etc. BUT, next time we are planning to go with a few more people, so action shots will be a must!!

Greene County......almost into Cocke County. Right off of the Asheville Highway in Greene County if you happen to know where that is. If you're in East Tennessee, we'll get some guys to go up sometime!

If a stock 4Runner can handle it, I'd be in for a trip up there. Not too far away from the Asheville area.

Looks slopy and fun.

I always laugh when I hear people from the South or the East use the term Mountains... Those are hills.

Looks interesting, especially that i be in knoxville, but i am not really into mud.

Mine only has 3" ome lift, 1 inch body lift, and 285 bfg all terrains on it. Also, for all of those not into mud, I really am not either, more of a trail rider for me, but there is plenty of both up at paint creek. I personally hate mud, cleaning is a real problem, but it's fun at the time you're in it! A stock wrangler made most of the stuff I did, some harder hills and rocky hills he couldn't make, but usually there are routes around those obstacles if you can't make it.

Aww come on, you have to give a little respect for the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and NC, they can be fun too!

sounds good man... i live in jefferson city right now (Carson Newman soph.) and for now my weekends are free... so im down. could possibly grab some more guys from here to go with me just depends!

Might be a couple of weekends for me, but that gives us time to get it all together! We'll have to go before it gets cold, we should plan it up.

Sundays work best for me to get away without the kids (3 & 7), but a Saturday with kids in tow can work too.

there are a few trails up there....we spent the whole day. ill go look around and find some stuff, post some pictures, and see if you all think its worth coming down here!

yea i looked it up, mapquest said about 1 1/2 hour drive from jeff city?? depending on which weekend it was i think we are pretty free now (baseball wise).

I have school related events until October 26th, so I am not free until then. Maybe it will rain a little between then though and make everything a little slicker, and a little more fun.

Reviving an old thread because I need some guys (or girls) in East Tennessee to go wheeling with. The TN chapter of TTORA is no longer online, and this is the only contact for offroading I have.
