Flygtenstein 10-21-2006 08:41 PM

"I ain't afraid of no GAS!" You could be a member of the Axle Busters. Who you gonna call? :D

Good time today. Thanks for coming Ric.

I took 8 pics. 2 of Brian, 2 of Isaac and 4 on that stump. One of me is good, the other 7 pics are useless.

wheeling in light snow looks fun. i had a taste of it last year, good times. i guess you gotta charge it a little sometimes.

mudbutt 10-22-2006 06:40 AM

This was a fun trip, it was cool to meet everyone who went. I wanted to wheel more but we left at the right time. We returned to denver at 3:30 so that was good. The bad? the welded seam across the back of my rear axle tube is cracking. It is leaking oil, started at the upper control arm mount and is about 3" long. I'll try to clean it out and weld it up but I'm going to start saving money for a ellinger/diamond with a LC9" center. I think I'll do a leaf conversion also.

Cheese, It was nice to see your truck work really well, good job. Did you find any other problems?

Once again it was nice to meet everyone. Till next time.
Brian

PS i forgot my camera so no pics from me

Marc P 10-22-2006 06:54 AM

Where are the action shots of your rig Adrian????

Flygtenstein 10-22-2006 07:36 AM

Thanks Brian. Nothing else of note. Driveshaft held, so the first one must have been a fluke. Glad you guys made it back in time.

The light snow stuff agravated me. My front ARB isn't holding air and I am still playing with pressure in the 37's, so the slickness the snow added got in my way.

I think Isaac and Mollly have pics/vids of the whole trip. I have two poser shots, that is it.

Crux 10-22-2006 08:19 AM

Had a fun time yesterday.
Did you guys make it to the top of Crystal Mtn?
What time did you get back?

I didn't take any pictures yesterday, but tried doing some video for the first time.
Still playing around with how to compress it and stuff.
Everytime I tried to shrink the mpeg it looked like crap, so I just uploaded the big files.
Here's video of everyone in the quarry:

Nice Videos, thank you for posting.

How did you daughter like the 4 wheeling?

tc 10-22-2006 09:44 AM

Great meeting you all! After seeing Flygtenstein's truck, I now know what I want to do with mine ...

We didn't get all the way to the top. Saw the weather coming in while we were in the playground and decided to come down. Had some light snow on the way down. It took us a while due to some "routefinding".

Molly is working on compiling the pix/video we took into a movie/slideshow - should have it up shortly.

As for the videos above, front locker makes me look like a better driver than I really am ... LOL

Marc P 10-22-2006 10:18 AM

Arian--your truck sounds and looks badass!!! Good job:bigclap:

Flygtenstein 10-22-2006 10:37 AM

Crux, thanks for the videos, that is awesome.

Brian, thanks for the good spotting. Too bad the video doesn't catch your comments:
Me: "Hey, why isn't it climbing?"
Mudbutt: "Because your big butt is in there."

Thanks Marc. The video makes it sound sweet. The 3.4 with headers, 2.5" exhaust, and the smallest Magnaflow we could fit in around the links, anything short of deafening was all right. The to eliminate the rubbing, get some belly protection and fix my sliders so I feel comfortable using the armor.

mudbutt 10-22-2006 12:18 PM

I was only commenting on the size of your trucks rear end!!!

actually I heard it.

6" wider then stock? Your back end was at lease that much farther over on the drivers side.

AxleIke 10-22-2006 02:21 PM

Yeah, he was saying you were having trouble cuz of the width.

Here are my personal pics, my buddy brian has a bunch more, but he's burning them to a CD, so it'll be a little while. I'll post em when i get em.

Heres my pics, not very good, and all of adrian, and only one of ric. Sorry, my friend has everyone else!

Flygtenstein 10-22-2006 02:48 PM

Thanks Isaac.

I get the clarity now. From the truck, I heard a comment about me being a big guy. I heard it a little better on the video. Yeah, 6" or so.

Again, good time. Neat to see from the outside of the truck. When I get it dialed, I will just have a driver and spot for it.

AxleIke 10-22-2006 03:23 PM

you can see in the second to last picture where your tire is eating fender. Thats the same place as in the vid, and you can hear the sound clearly, and see the fender moving.

99SR5 10-22-2006 05:15 PM

wow good pics

Dailydriver2 10-22-2006 06:14 PM

Great vids! Wish I could have made it.
