Kaena Point Oahu (pics)

Well started finding my way around the island and finding spots to wheel. Kaena point was allot of fun! didnt take many pics of the wheelin as it were just me and a heep! People were fishing from their rigs, swimming, surfing, you name it. There was ZERO trash on the trails and they were as hard as you wanted to wheel but mostly easy trails. I didnt air down as the closest gas station was like 8 miles away so the ride was bouncy to say the least!

Anyhow, here are some pics leading into north shore.

Are those black wheels...oh wait, that's just HI mud! Awesome pics! Looks like a blast. Not many of us can say we wheeled in HI! I actually wheeled a bit on my honeymoon; rented a Heep and wheeled Kauai. :great:

Again, great pics. (Your rig sure would look good with black wheels...) ;)

fireteacher 11-27-2006 08:03 PM

lol, thanks

when i got out...i went to look at the runner and was like.....hmmmm time for some steelies soon as these are slowly but surely getting beat up from the wheeling

one thing i hate is that the mud out here has 2tons of sand, 1 ton of tiny pebbles and other than that...its ok. i told myself i wasnt going to play in the mud but you see how long that lasted.

$10 later at the car wash just on the brakes....i finally got everything out of there........screeeeeeeeeech the hole way home!!! i tried reversing on the shoulder of the freeway...it was terrible. i will deff avoid the mud here mking only the occasional exception.

Well, if you are seriously interested in black wheels, you can just paint those black with good results. VHT makes an excellent polyurethane wheel paint. Lots of threads about that though, back on topic.

Post more pics when you have time. I love the scenery out there...

fireteacher 11-27-2006 08:35 PM

yeah....stay on topic :D

going back out this weekend and will get some action shots of the runner owning the jeeps!
