Im going to be throwing my 33's on next time cause the 36's rubbed once and it pulled the passengerside lower part away from the bed a bit.im also thinking im going to get a bjspacer and relax my tbars(i have a 4inch lift will i be ok ?).....anyone have input on that or pulling the overloads out of the rear leaf pack?

It was Bunce School Road and we did Ironclads we were also tryin to get to the plain crash site but a snowey up hill climb got the black 4runner stuck 4 times and after that he was so upset and tired of us trying to get him out over and over and over he wanted to head back down. BJ spacers on a bracket lift is a bad idea. From the looks of it, you get ok up travel. The only thing would be to put low profile upper arm stops to gain a bit of downward travel. Also how are you getting that much flex in the rear! And what length shocks are you using? |
looks like fun. I was too lazy to take pictures this weekend, but also had some fun playing slip n slide up and down muddy clay hills and launching in and out of mud pits. I was shocked when I saw a few stock 90s ifs 2dr toyotas barrel through where I was with almost no problem at all. I followed them for a ways and decided those guys were completely out of their minds and turned around after I watched them descend the steepest, muddiest 50+ foot wall/cliff/hill ever. I'll bet they had a hell of a time getting back up it. I'm also willing to bet one of them rolled or slid into a tree at least once that day. next time i'm out that way i'll take some pictures, or hopefully even some videos of crazy guys in stock toyotas challenging hills no sane person would go up or down on foot.
Too bad I always remember to take pictures after I get back on the street lol |

Im just getting in to this a bit more hardcore so im learning as i go and getting over my in seat fears.Wheeling my truck is night and day from stock and its taking some work to get the feeling of control back. |

Yeah if you can get me the # for the shocks. I'm working on getting things in order for my chevy springs and I want to keep the stock shock locations but use the longest possible shocks.

VW, are those the stock leafs with like a 4-5" shackle, or...? Cause I was debating on whether to get either a 4" leaf pack from superlift (or somewhere), or go with a longer shackle. How're they holdin up for you?

i am thinkin about doin the 4" leaf or longer shackles also. blocks just dont cut it. which one would you recomend.

Yeah I'm using 2" blocks right now, and you're right, they just aint cut it. Was thinkin bout goin with Superlift's 4" leaf pack ($124.99 a piece), but was planning on doing the longer shackle first. Cause that way, get a little bit more use outta my stock leafs, and when I get the new leafs, it'll be even bigger.
