FS 7810 / Coplay Lake & Mowich Lake

this trip had its problems but overall it was worth it.

My buddy, his wife and kids, me, ashley and my mom all loaded up and started out towards mount Rainier.

once we got on FS7810 i started over heating. i had to stop a couple times to let the truck cool down. finally made it to the lake, it was a nice lake if you had a small boat and could get past the 2 feet of saturated barkdust it would be awesome.. wading out kinda sucks tho.

we packed up and decided to head back down to hwy 165 and go past Evan Creek to Mowich Lake.. well i over heated again, and discovered that the battery tie down broke and my battery had fallen into the power steering pulley. we finally got to Mowich lake but only to find it PACKED and no dog were allowed. so we decided to come home.
Hwy 165 turns into a gravel road which was DUSTY!!! but it had some awesome views of Mt. Rainier.

so minus the truck problems, and the 95+ degree weather, and the lake being less than perfect, it was an alright trip.

We stopped on the way home in Wilkison to get ice-cream.. that hit the spot on a hot and dust day.

Beautiful area Chris, been to Mowich a few times years ago.

Did you happen to see a stock yellow FJ Cruiser up at Mowich with a factory lightbar on top?
If so, it belongs to a coworker who said he went up there.

He was up there Saturday or Sunday, not sure which day you were up there unless it was the 16th.
