Exterme Trail Picture Collection
I was interested, for the sake of coversation, if we could start a thread with only PICTURES reflecting what people regard as "extreme" trail pics pulled from reports posted here.
So, pull your favorite pics. The criterion are as follows: 1. Must be of a YT member/poster 2. Must reflect Tread Lightly 3. Must not include any BS. Thanks. |
Ye ask and ye shall recieve:
Two Yota's on extreme crawl, summer 05 http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...e/IMG_1168.jpg Frontal "cover shot". The very definition of GNARLY. Complete with CB antenna installed http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...e/IMG_1542.jpg Snow run. This shot deserves only the best descriptors: intense, unreal, unforgettable, supreme. Nothing whatsoever can compare to this. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...e/IMG_1475.jpg |
Adrian is gonna kick your butt Isaac ... but I thought it was hilarious!

its not the size that matters, but the way you use it.
Besides, if it ever came down to a confrontation, i can run faster than he can. I was refering to the pictures... |
In an effort to make up for all the BS I've polluted this thread with - the most extreme wheeling I've seen lately is Moab - Hell's Revenge - Tip Over Challenge in icy/frost! :eeek:

Here's the most extreme trail I have ever been on. Jaws of Death - Los Lunas, NM http://pics.montypics.com/albuquerqu...9_jaws_047.jpg http://pics.montypics.com/albuquerqu...8_jaws_067.jpg http://pics.montypics.com/albuquerqu...1_jaws_024.jpg Steve http://pics.montypics.com/albuquerqu...4_jaws_008.jpg http://pics.montypics.com/albuquerqu...7_jaws_049.jpg Brian http://pics.montypics.com/albuquerqu...9_jaws_033.jpg http://pics.montypics.com/albuquerqu...0_jaws_069.jpg |

LOL So long as you stay on the proper lines ... looks like the penalty for being off an inch or so are pretty severe! |

Wow!!!!
|
Finally, a spot where width would be great!
Trail looks killer Jim, where is that in relation to ABQ? Depending on work this summer, and now that I know I can drive 80, I would like to practice getting to AZ by stopping at your place! Isaac, I have been training. |
Jaws is about 1 hour south of ABQ near Los Lunas; far from Farmington.
I would love to run it again, I didn't have a front locker when I ran it the first time. There's some pretty good obstacles. In fact, these pics don't do it justice. We were too busy wheelin' to take more pics. You are right Cheese, width on this obstacle might be beneficial. This is an in and out trail so going in you drop off of the V ledge. Here's Josh's Taco for perspective. http://pics.montypics.com/albuquerqu...1_jaws_014.jpg Your 37's would fall almost outside on his 35's I believe. Cheese, you should check out the NM TTORA Farmington thread(s) on TTORA. NM is hosting Takeover the 1st weekend in August this year in Farmington. Pre-run on Cinco de Mayo weekend. Width is king on a few trails in Farmington from looking at the pics. |
