Talking Deep water/mud crossing with pics!

So we got a crap load of rain the past few days. So we went and checked out a mud hole that was overfilling. it was probably 4ft deep. So ploped it in 4lo and hammer down. my feet got all wet. I did get a little water in my distributer though. enjoy pics

going slow through the first bit.

it started getting deeper fast so I had to hammer the throttle.

still going

bow wave action!

no more tires!

it was a long crossing. see the 69 chevy on stand by.

I allready have a second tube running off my airbox. I just need to order up an ARB snorkel and make a hole. Theres is an even deeper hole that I plan on doing this summer so yeah im gonna have to have a snorkel.

cool! When I went through water probably half as deep as that, I stalled 'cause water got in my distributer. I heard this is a common problem with 22REs. What do you do to prevent that? You said you got a little water in yours, what happened? Did you stall or anything?

It ran fine all the way through the water and back home. Then when I was pulling up to my driveway I gassed it and it started to sputter but only when I gas it a good bit. When normal gassing it wasn't sputtering. I'm gonna silicone my distributor very soon. and now I am scared to go back to the hole and film it.

beautiful

I hope to get up there sometime to visit some relatives who live in Bozeman. It'd be even sweeter to get my rig up there too!

Nope. the radiator pushes the water so it didn't even touch the fan. I'm gonna go back to the water crossing and film it this weekend.
