[CO] Twin Cone - Great Day!

Just got back a little while ago. Havn't download pics yet - but thought I'd start a post about the day.

We had a great day running Twin Cone Peak trail - which brings you to the top of north twin cone peak at an final elevation of about 12,360. The views were great and the trail is a decent moderate trail with some rocks to play on and a good steep loose hill that can give you some fits.

Weather was perfect, and actually a little brisk at the top.

So thank you to all of you who showed up and we had a great time - will post pics soon!

Hey saw you guys rolling out this morning! Lookin good! I live in the Bailey area, and was coming back from dropping my brother off at work. Passed you going opposite you right after you went past Pine Junction. Would've joined you, but just got my 4.88's in, and am still in the break in period. Just thought i'd say it was great to see good lookin trucks rolling together like that! You had a great day for it.

Thought might have been you. Grey runner, black front bumper? I made a coment on the CB about it. Should have joined us, best way to break in new gears is to wheel 'em:P

Yeah, that's me. You probably also saw the ridiculous stickers on the sides. I went through a phase in High School, and now i can't peel them off without some major time and effort. I hope to get em off soon.

It looks like you guys had a good time, i wish i could have gone on this trip, i've been wanting to go on a trip for a while. Was the trail hard?

X-AWDriver 06-21-2005 10:15 AM

I met the group that met in Conifer but I already had plans and I'll fell more confident with new tires.

Hey man, haven't seen ya in a while. You got to go next time. Get Digger to come too!!!

Mojo_Risin 06-21-2005 12:15 PM

Yeah, I actually talked to digger. He got the day off work and everything but bowed out at the last minute - Father's Day and all I guess.

Outlaw27 (Travis) lives 3 houses down from me in my Cul-de-sac. :) Guess he was out of town.

As far as twin cone - I'd say it was moderate to difficult in places. You wouldn't have had a problem in your runner - except if you would have tried the right hand line up the steep hill - without a locker might be pretty hard. Great trail though.

I was in Lake Powell for the week otherwise i would have been all over it. The pics look good though. I think digger had some fathers day stuff, his dad was supposed to come but decided not to so diggs stayed at home with him.

Hey guys had a blast even though it was in a jeep ha ha....
Darcie really had fun running that trail herself and was beat when she got home. Will try and get some pics up, but no promises given that all the family is in town for my daughters wedding this Sunday. Busy Busy.
Later Doug & Darcie

I wish i would have went now. Dad didn't really want to go that day, so i figured i would stay home. He wants to go a couple times before he moves to virginia, so count me in next time, as long as i can get off work. Jake haven't seen you in a while, truck looks quite a bit different. Looks good. You guys planning anything for maybe this saturday or next sunday????? I'm pretty sure im off.

Jake94 06-22-2005 03:04 PM

Digger, wuzzup man? This weekend :dunno: . We're going camping, don't know where yet. You can bet though, that it will involve some wheeling. We'll keep everyone posted, maybe we could meet up.

Thanks for the compliment, been working on it.

Flygtenstein 06-22-2005 05:04 PM

Looks good folks.

When my rig is not broken, or if I get a wild hair with the go cart, I will have to see y'all again.

99_Runner 06-23-2005 10:08 AM

I wish I could have gone. But looking at the pics, not to sure if my stock tired rig would have made it all the way. Let me know when you guys plan your next run and I will do my best to make it.

Sweet pics.

NRM 06-23-2005 12:08 PM

93 runner, when'd you get rid of your 2nd gen. rig? i know last time i talked to you a few months ago you still had it! why'd you trade?

Digger33 06-24-2005 12:48 AM

This weekend i'm more than likely busy. I have to work sunday, and saturday there is a car show at trepke's tire town that a ttora is going to attend, then run up to the lefthand area for wheelin. Let me know, when you guys are going though for sure, ill make it sometime.
