Swap - Tach inquiry

Hello everyone!

I�m sure this one isn�t as hard as I think, but I�d really like your help getting my tachometer to work.

So, I have a 2LT in the place of a 22RE. I�m using the Gas Dash Cluster which is my first problem. But here�s where I�m at:

I had so signal wire. I assume it must have been on the bell housing at one point on whatever truck the 2LT came from. No W terminal, no wire off injection pump. However,

I had my local alternator shop open my Alternator and add me a W terminal, so now I have a source.

Long story short,

1.) I ran a wire from my now �W terminal� inside the truck.
2.) Purchased the Dakota SGI-100BT to convert the Diesel signal
3.) Ran Power and Ground to the SGI, also attached to �Signal Wire� to the input of the Dakota box.
4.) Coming out of the SGI-100BT I have the converted signal wire.. But do not know where to splice it in.

I�ve google searched and seen people hooking it up to the �P� post on the back of the cluster. I�ve read to tap into the �Black or Green Wire� on the back of the Blue Connector..

I�m really unsure. And don�t mind doing a trial and error process but I can�t seem to get any motion from my tach yet. Mind you, I only tried the posts on the back.
Do I need to tap into the Blue Connector for this?

I also seen people taking the cluster apart and soldering in resistors.. not knowing where to go from here. I figured I would try to post here and hopefully get a simplified answer since I�m so close to the end.
