Tach not working
Have a 91 toyota pickup 3.0 and the tach does not work at all have no idea what the problem is. Thought it was the tach it's self but got a used one from the junk yard tried it and still didn't work. Iv tested the signal coming out of the distributor and the signal is strong from there but were else does the wire go to from there before the tach? Could it be the ecu going bad? Any help on any info on the tach would be helpful thank you

I dont know if you are adding the tach or had one before, but you can run a wire from the ground side of the coil to the "p" on the back of the cluster. Not all trucks are wired for the tach in the harness for some reason.
Back of guage is marked with a "p".

run a wire from the negative wire of the ignition coil to the "P" screw in the back of the cluster gauges. I just swapped mine from a 3 gauge simple version to the SR5 cluster and it worked for me
