Hey guys, I bought a kicker comp s 10" 600w 300 rms. Single voice coil I.have the amp installed, but am having a tough time figuring out how to wire the sub into the amp. The sub has 2 positive spade terminals on one side and 2 neg spade terminals on the other side. My question is do I run a single wire to the pos and single to neg and leave other terminals on the sub unhooked or do I run 2 positives and 2 negitives to the sub? Any help greatly appreciated. Amp is a dx250.1 500w max.

All the systems i have wired (including kicker comp) the sub has + and - terminal which you run speaker wire from + on sub to one of the + terminals on amp and run other strand of same speaker wire from - terminal on sub to the pairing - terminal on amp. So if that didnt confuse you the other terminals on amp are left open for other speakers, subs or whatever

depending on the model of the amp, and what power it puts out, as well as what ohm load it handles, you can either run the sub off of one channel (left positive and left negative if its a two channel amp) or you could bridge the amplifier, (if its a mono block amp, or a one channel amp). look underneath the speaker terminals on the amp, generally you will see where it says "bridged". if it does say bridged, use the two terminals that it points out. if it does not say bridged, the general rule of thumb is use left positive and right negative terminals on the amp.
