Show off your half doors!!

Started cutting up my half doors this weekend, I was trying to leave the mirror and the top of the door, but visibility is still limited, so I might cut more before finishing them up. Looking to see what others have done..

POST YOUR HALF DOOR PICS!

..Yes I know there is a half door thread on pirate...but lets start one here!

Latch is a piece of para cord, just pull it to open, it's spring loaded.

Wow those are some clean half doors. I think I might have to try to find me a spare set of doors now for the yota.

I dig your front bumper... And how you padded up the arm rest. What did you use to keep the door closed/open?

Front bumper is an addicted offroad front bumper. That was an old picture, but the only one I have of the half doors on the truck. The padding I made using some armorflex foam from work and a bit of pleather from the local walmart and part of the original door panel. Kinda jumbled it all together and made the padding. I also added velcro to the outer edges of the frame so i can put on a soft skin to keep some of the rain out in a downpour. The latch is the factory latch that was cut down, theres a hidden button you push down on and it unlatches the door. I can get a picture of this stuff tomorrow if you'd like. The doors are sitting on my stand in the garage.

Nicley done BBP. Like the hinge idea.

Question, though for those thst store stuff in the doors.. Anything to prevent stuff in there from getting crushed if you happen to find a new dent on the trail?

Pretty thin sheet metal. Pretty easy to pry apart. I know some guys run tubing thru the inside to provide some safety and rigidity to the door.

Hey logan-
where did you get the clear vinyl? I heard some people just used shower curtains but it seams like clear boat window stuff would work better.
Did you sew a seam around the edge?
