I like it. Simple, looks good, and was probably pennies on the dollar to buying one. Job well done.

Now... can I have one?

thanks, yeah it was definatly the cheaper route. its 3/16 plating but i couldnt tell you how much there was we had a lot of it and i think 1/2 inch for mounting brackets... stinger was inch and 3/4 tubing and we just used a pirahna to bend it and plasma to cut and our trustee lincoln to weld it.

a little update on the bumper. cut out spots for the blinker, got the stinger welded on and put in a few more gussets for durability.

that thing looks solid. nice work. i prefer plate bumpers over tube myself.

i wish i knew some place to get plate bumpers that are identical in shape to the square, first-gen 4Runner bumpers, but made of quality steel.

maybe you n' grandpa can churn a few out for sale? (wishful thinking)

mostly finishing school and getting a job... so i guess i've gotten myself into the planning stages

in any case, this type of front bumper is the one i'm most likely to fab up, if i ever decide to make one

nice work with the signals on the angle. really clean, man. what's your finish material going to be? some sort of bedliner material? black, or maybe silver? silver can look great depending on the body color of the vehicle. or, match the body color.

really coming along well. can't wait to see it installed.

oh hey, have you considered some sort of stone protection for the signals? maybe a little steel mesh, or even get crafty with some speaker grille type material?

Good looking bumper man... Not a stinger man myself I prefer the moose bar style like you see on the Dodge in the background... easier to drive with in tight urban traffic and lets folks know you are'nt going to get hurt if you bump into them if they don't get out of the way LOL

For coating I'd consider using POR15... it comes in many colours and will stand up better than powdercoat or paint...

Nice work! Sorry if I missed it, but what year of truck are you going to be mounting your bumper to? Can't wait to see it finished & mounted up, keep up the good work!
