By driveshaft interference I'm assuming you mean with the gas tank contact, right?

No, if you put the links in the very center, the d-shaft will hit it under full compression...mine even rubs on the horseshoe crossmember. You could move the links to either side of the d-shaft and you'll be fine. You'll have to build a stronger crossmember because the horseshoe crossmember will not stand the stress of links attached to it.

Either arrangement will interfere with the fuel tank so you might as well go the 2nd arrangement.
