Help! injector clips dont match
Hi my name is david and i just bought my first toyota 4x4! Its a 88 pickup with the 22re (heard it was the best!) The intake manifold was already off the truck when i bought it. The kid i bought it from said he was having injector problems. Now with the the car at my house i was starting to put everything back together and i noticed that the injector clips 1 and 4 were different from clips 2 and 3. Clips 2 and 3 do not plug into the injectors, but 1 and 4 do.
1. Do 22re motors have 2 different size injectors!?
2.Or is this a rig of the wiring?
Any input would be awesome, so i can get my new project active in the yota community

I don't know if they all flow the same but they definately have different connections, and I would bet, different electrical characteristics. Sounds like someone did a mix and match on yours. Best bet would be to try to find an appropriate set on e bay or in the For Sale section here. Have them rebuilt and then install knowing you have an appropriate, matched, fresh set. There are a couple of places that have a good rep for doing a nice job of rebuilds. Search witchhunter and cruisinperformance.
Also, you are somehow in the AZ regional section. You would likely get a better response over in Tech. See if a mod can move this for you. Good luck.
