Project Humpty Dumpty

Since everyone else is doing it I figure... why not?

Engine:
-New Power Steering Pump (on the search, know where to find one cheap?)
-New Mr. Alternater alt. (on order-Black Powder Coating)

Exterior:
-The clear tails are wearing thin on me, I want some 01-02 tails
-New left headlamp so I'm not blinding everyone DONE
-Fix my fogs
-Wire up my driving lights

Armor:
-Get some real skids (I only have one bolt holding my STOCK skids right now)
-Make some sliders, hopefully going to be completed at the wrench-a-thon.
-Rear bumpter, again make or buy I think I might try to make one this summer in welding class)

Drivetrain:
-Rear ARB locker (I want to do a SAS eventually so only the rear will be getting a locker).
-Regear (this milage is killing me)

Wheels/Tires
-Get a set of alloys with some smaller tires to help with milage and then when these 285 A/Ts wear out get some MTRs for the tech1s

Electronics:
-GPS/FRS/GMRS Hardwired for power and USB hook-up. DONE

Thats all I can think of for now...

by re-gear i hope you dont mean move to a higher ratio (4.10 -> 4.88 etc). that will reduce fuel economy if anything since your motor has to make more revolutions per mile. You're truck will be quicker, but not at all more efficient. Fuel mileage is directly dependant upon your right foot

well, since its quicker off the line (easier to turn) that requires less pedal... I live in stop and go crazyness in savannah. Yeah, hiway might suffer a little but I'm not going to go crazy with the gearing. I have heard multiple people say they are getting better milage after re-gearing.

so dont give it full throttle with stock gears, all your are doing is burning extra gas. I know its a tough temptation to want to go fast but all things being equal if you drive the truck easy you will get better gas mileage with less gear ratio, im no fuel economy scientist, im just thinking logically. With better acceleration from higher gear ratios dont you think you'll use even MORE gas from being able to accelerate even FASTER ? Again, im not saying i CANT be wrong but it doesnt make much sense logically to me.

I don't all the time, Its just when your on a one way street and know the light times and your trying to make a light... and don't get me wrong... I'm not flooring it, I only do that when tossing mud around and such. Unless i'm in a really bad mood, but that doesn't count

I have gotten as low as 13.

Still not empty, but I think I'll have to fill-up today.

Jon, if you check my site cough cough... then there are several pics of the tails in the "exterior" section. I'll sell them to ya pretty cheap as I got a really good deal on them Plus, I just saw them on ebay for like $60-$65 with shipping. I'm not quite ready to part with them, but sometime this summer I'll let them go for like $25 or so. I just have to find some descently priced 01-02 tails to take their place. On my original ones the driver side is half as bright as the pass b/c of the mud that was in it. I have tried cleaning them over and over but the driver side is always half as bright. I might keep them if I ever do an LED brake light setup, but I probably won't. I'm just tired of buying new brake/tail light bulbs.

edit: check the NEW Uwharrie pics site, there are a few more pics in there too!

I'm so excited about my gps, I don't think yall understand! Oh, the things that excite a tech geek! Atleast now we won't get lost at uwharrie! Now one of you guys have to get one so we can do the location thing!! Now i need to fingure out a way to mount it. I'm thinking a cellphone holder.

yeah... perfect timing with the gas prices.

I got my gps hardwired. I used an aux dc plug. I'll have a writeup when I get my camera charger back . And I only blew one fuse! hehe... I should be getting the software today and the serial to usb cable by the end of the week.
