all of us are newbs. noones got any hardcore 4x4 rig. out of all of um i think my 4runner with a body lift and 31x10.50s is the most capable. we arent out to break our stuff either. all of our vehicles are our daily drivers and cant afford to break um. its just a good time to go wheelin and hang out.

I bought it 2 and a half months ago. Two weeks after I bought it I ended up having to replace the rear diff...it was shot. Anyway, I went ahead and changed all fluids to Amsoil, replaced rear axle seals, did timing belt, water pump, tune up, brakes, ALL fluids switched to Amsoil...yada yada...ended up being $3000 when it was all said and done. That was the money that was meant to get me started with some 4x4 mods.

I just turned 30 this year. I've got friends from 21-22 up to 45.

hahah darn, no boos for us. sounds like you have done quite alot of work. since u still have stock tires i would recommend some ATs atleast to get you through some kinda mud. i had stock radials for awhile and did some wheeling. I got purdy far usin momentum but more often then not had to ask for some help gettin back out.

Previous owner was a smoker too...so I've stripped the interior to bare metal and am shampooing all the seats, completely replacing the carpet, and replacing the headliner. i've stripped out all the plastics and soaked them in warm soap solution, cleaned the windows inside, etc. I'm actually having a lot of fun with all this.
Tires are next on the list though. I'm still reading the forum here and reading the other 4runner site trying to decide what to get so I have enough road comfort while still being able to get enough offroad traction for light wheelin...
