Lets see the NC Yotas!!!

Purchased this a month ago. I generally work on sportbikes and try to avoid 4 wheel vehicles unless it is raining. I saw this and decided it was time to build something. I got to looking for parts for an 88 4wd Toyota Pickup I have. I ended up finding this with the SAS already done to it. It was in a million pieces and was barely a roller. It had no differentials and a destroyed rear axle housing. The guy gave me 3 storage containers and some cardboard boxes full of parts and away I went. First of all I knew it would need tires so I got on the phone and started calling around until I could find a deal I could live with. I built up two third members with 5.29's and lockers, then I replaced the rear axle housing and did a rear disc conversion. The next thing was the suspension, I replaced all the u-bolts and added rear shocks. I had to change the yoke on the transfer case going to the front axle because it had been swapped for a rear yoke. Then I upgraded the front rotors and calipers to some FJ-40 units. My load proportioner valve was ruined so I replaced it with a OEM unit from a salvage yard. I got under the hood and put a Supra AFM, LC Engineering cold air intake, LC Engineering Header, and a turbo muffler. As for the outside I found a good deal on some half doors. I am currently modifying some fenders for the front and I plan on tubbing the rear. My next conquest will be to replace the clutch, though I have never ever done one. I assume it cannot be much harder than what I have already done. I am hoping to have lots of fun with this.

Your not far at all. In fact I am in your area often for school. Going to ACC for welding. Once I go back to school in the fall I will be around your neck of the woods more than I will be up here in Durham county.

Will do man. I know of a few spots up here but they are pretty mild. I don't know of any down there yet. Its a little wet up here but any excuse to clog up a car wash is good with me.
