trouble with engnbldr

I have seen great reviews about engnbldr cams and products but I figured I would share my experience from purchasing from them on Ebay. They claim that items bought from them will ship in 1 business day from date paid. I bought a cam from them on August 29th. It's September 11th and it still hasn't shipped. I contacted them last week and asked if there was an issue and they told me that the order information was mixed up in a shuffle and that I would have the cam here at my house by mid week. That would be today and the cam STILL hasn't shipped. I have opened a case against them on ebay and the next step is a full refund if it doesnt ship by tomorrow morning.

Not sure if anyone else has had an issue like this with them before but this is my experience.

Amen. In cases like this, you want to be THAT guy... Don't worry, Paypal is pretty good about getting your money back, especially if you haven't received anything!

This is the main reason i stopped buying stuff off of ebay... got tired of worrying about the person on the other end, as well as crappy customer service...

Red face

I am betting it is a ebay issue .

i never bought anything on ebay always direct from engine builder with no problems

I did have ebay and paypal hold my money for over a year because of a glitch between the vendor and ebay

I actually have to right a wrong on my part here. I was not trying to bash these guys by any means. Here's the story as it unfolded AFTER I made this post.

I emailed them on ebay and it ended up opening a case against them. Which I didn't intend to do in the first place. After doing so, I got up from my computer, walked into the front room to use the restroom and noticed a package sitting on our pool table (Which is more or less a catch-all for everyone's stuff they don't want to put away) It was the cam from Engnbldr!! I ran back to my room and sent them an apology email and closed the case. Ted (guy from engnbldr) actually did what he could to fix the situation and shipped it when he realized the mistake. However he forgot to mark the item as shipped on ebay which had me believing that they hadn't shipped it...when infact it was sitting in my **** living room. So to them I say sorry if I led anyone to believe they do bad business.

In the end, I have a bone to pick with my roommate who can't simply say "Hey your package arrived" and I am looking forward to installing the cam.

Glad to hear you clear up what happened. I dont think you were trying to bash Engbldr, but before I posted something, I would make sure I tried everything in my power to fix it first. Some vendors probably need to be put out of business, but here in the Yota world, we dont have ten more vendors standing in line to take someones place. I have dealt with Engbldr three different times and all were great experiences.

Sounds like you owe Ted some more business for your flub... better get a new head to go with that cam

He's a stand up guy, and his products are great.

When I first read the thread title I knew it would have to be a misunderstanding. Ted was awesome with our dealings. Replies to email were phenomenal. Even at 10pm on Sunday night he'd reply within 30 mins or so. Amazing customer service.
