BRAND NEW Jerry Can seals

These are brand new custom made seals/gaskets for the U.S. military screw-cap type Jerry cans. I had purchased some new ones for mine from a surplus store and wasn't really all that impressed with them. They seemed to be too hard to really seal well against a somewhat uneven surface on the spout and more importantly probably not fuel resistant, just plain ole black rubber that seems to be notorious for drying out and cracking. So I resorted to having my own made. These are the exact same size (about 3 and 3/8th inches in outiside diameter) as the originals just better. How are they better you ask? Well they are made from a highly fuel resistant nitrile rubber. Also I had them made out of an ever so slightly softer rubber so they would seal better. According to the shop they are a 60 on the durometer scale verses a 70 on the old ones. I have them on both of my cans and they work great. I have turned them upside down with fuel in them and no leaks! Fuel stays in and air and moiture stay out, making your cans and fuel last longer.Though I still would probably recommend storing them right side up. I am selling them for $3 a piece plus the shipping which should be just a little over a dollar depending on how many you need.

Thanks for looking. Just PM me with any questions you might have or orders.

Also if you have one of those flexible spouts with your can these could easily be cut to fit those too for much less messy fueling.

These could also easily be cut to fit a screw-on spout as well. They really work great.

BUMP for survivorman. I bought a couple from him about 6 months ago and they have worked extremely well. I can throw my cans in the back seat without worrying about them leaking. Great around the house too. Worth every penny.

Thanks for the feedback stockwell I am so glad that they are working out well for you. Thank you again everybody for your orders they are very much appreciated! For those who are having problems with their old ones leaking and cracking I am very confident that mine will solve this problem for you. Those old ones and even the ones you find at the surplus stores just don't hold up that well especially if they are used a lot and have a lot of fuel exposure. I have had mine for about 8 months now and the are still as soft and flexible as they were when new. For those interested here is the thread I started a while back that led me to starting all this. Again thank you all so much.

Order Jerry Can Gaskets

After reading the raves about these gaskets, I am interested in purchasing several of these gaskets for the Jerry cans we use in our boat. Would you still have six available? We have four cans but need to replace two gaskets right now. Thanks - let me know how to purchase them.

I am currently still working on getting seals for NATO cans made as well as the wider mouth German military style jerry cans. They would have been made earlier, but through testing I had some issues with rubber swelling and am currently working on I higher grade of fuel resistance rubber, my manufacturer has been pretty swamped but it shouldn't be too much longer.

Again a big thanks goes out to all my customers!

Have you had swelling issues with the gaskets for the GI metal cans? Are they available in the higher grade of fuel resistant rubber?

How is your supply of the GI flat gaskets?
