Total Chaos lift vs. Blazeland lift
#104
How much more does the motor weigh than stock? On my t100 I had about 100lbs of steel on my nose for my front hitch and tow setup (not as much as a bigger motor prob but it was on the nose). I bounced off the bumps pretty hard a couple times with no failures.. hard enough to make me stop and say holy crap that was loud i better check everything. 600lb spring no hoop reinforcement. I have not taken it to the desert yet though
As far as the full coilover conversion I would rec-amend it. The shock hoops are correctly engineered. The angle the shocks push against the hoop is very close to vertical in line with the vertical part of the tube coming from the frame. It will be very hard to bend the hoop at all. Also the way the hoop is welded to the frame is correct and wont harm your frame. A friend of mine has the total chaos kit and the way they welded the hoop directly to the frame has failed multiple times (Because the frame walls are thin) taking pieces of the frame with it. I bet TC has fixed the design by now though... He had one of the early torsion bar kits. The torsion bar mount failed also.
Disclaimer: Nate told me to reinforce the hoops if I am going to be hauling through woop sections which Is pretty much the standard for any truck with any hoop. you have to have a cross bar going from hoop to hoop if you really beat on it with repetitive motion.
Now im just blabbing.. guess I needed to talk truck for a while haha. post some pics when your done!

Zpd426, do the 33's fit without a struggle, are they 12.5 or 10.5? and what does your track width look like? I guess it will probably be a different story for my truck seeing as you have a t-100 and i have a pickup but i'm just wondering

I looked into it but can't see anyway of creating an innovative design. What is all ready out there from the other guys is how I would end up doing it..... so there is no point. Modification to stock UCA / LCA does not seem feasible.

my main goal for LT was for the ROCKS at crawler speeds. i have and dont think i will really test it on any high speed stuff but i do drive around 20+ mph on crappy fireroads to the trail head with pot holes everywhere. i can say it does soak up the bumps alot better than my previous set up which was pretty good imo. which was bj spacers and OME shocks

Well you better start thinking about them! Stock 22mm T-bars don't have enough spring rate to overcome the additional leverage created by the long arms. Even at full crank on the adjusting bolt the front will sag and you will be bouncing off the bump stops. You need 25mm T-bars to provide enough spring rate. Or you could also keep your stock bars and add a coil over assist with a 200-300lb spring. If you want to do a full coil over conversion you will need a 600lb spring.

Congrats!
I went full coilover. Its pretty nice.
I have some EDIT 25mm (not 28) 300m bars just sitting. So sad noone has a t100 that needs them. maybe I will put them back on just to see what it does. My 600 spring is a little soft but I like it that way.
Anyways while the thread is hot... Hey N8 and other Blazeland users out there, is there a Internal bypass or even triple bypass shock that fits in the stock location? I am going to have my internal bypass shocks on the rear when I get around to installing the mini deaver pack. I am thinking the front wont keep up with it.
Im not really going to be bombing through the desert or anything but it will be nice to slow everything down before I hit the bump stops when I do drive at moderate speed and have an oh #$@^& moment.
