Finding 4.56s I did search
Ok a few questions in one, don't give me the search line because I did.
Where do I source stock 4.56 gears? Don't want to drop a load on new gears just to try out and then go to 4.88's. Also, MC doesn't offer built 7.5 IFS (front) thirds anymore by their website and I have too many projects to build the 3rd myself.
94 reg cab 22re w56 tranny
I run heavy cooper stt's in the summer 30x9.5r15 and stock 225's, studded in the winter. Will consider switching to all 31x9.5s after a regear once tires wear.
I regularly drive red mountain pass and wolf creek pass, very slowly mind you. These are 11k+ in elevation.
Plan to do alcan in my setup, which includes a 2001 FWC eagle, so I am looooadin this reliable dog down!
I currently have 4.11s and not only need to regear for tire size, but also for higher torque on climbs with a lot of weight. Weight being such a huge concern I am not sure I will go taller than the 30s I have on there, mayyybe 31s. I have done the calculations and understand the RPM differences I am looking at and therefor don't really want to go with 4.88's but could certainly be talked out of it with good reason, like the fact I probably wont be cruising 75-80 with my camper on there anyways.
Super thanks!
