Hey, i need some help on choosing the right shocks for my 93 ext. cab pickup. im looking into getting shocks for the rear and cant decide on the procomp es3000 or es9000 i know the es9000 are a little stiffer.
i have a pro comp add a leaf aal coming in as well so i know that will stiffin up the rear a tadd. but i am wondering if i get the 9000s will the rear be to stiff? will i get decent flex? or should i go with the es3000s instead. im looking for people with experience on these shocks.

oh yeah and its my daily and i wheel the hell out of it as well

The add a leaf will make it really stiff.
I noticed a smoother ride when I switch from the ES3000 to ES9000. But I do not have the add a leaf.
Heard good things about the ZUK mod. Been thinking about doing the ZUK my self...

so you think the softer shock to compensate for the stiffer leaf?

I personally don't think the ES9000 were stiffer but just smoother. Sorry cant help much. But if your stuck on the add a leafs I would still go with the ES9000s

"The ES3000's are " cellular gas charged" and the ES9000's are "nitrogen gas charged". The biggest thing I noticed when installing them was with the 3000's, the shock piston did not push out on it's own, like if you push down on the piston and compress it all the way, it would not come back out on its own, you would have to pull on it. With the 9000's, the piston did push itself back out after you compress it. The 9000's are probably more responsive."
