Post your 2016+ Tacoma Pics!

Like the title says, post your 2016+ Tacoma pics here!

I'll start it off... I picked up my new Tacoma this afternoon. It's a Double Cab TRD Sport 4x4 with a short bed in the magnetic gray. I only got to drive it the some 45 miles back to work from the dealership, but boy does it drive nice! Pretty stoked about this purchase so far.

Congratulations. It'll be 2026 before that is affordable for me. I like it. Post some interior pics and show some unique features if you get a chance.

Went home for lunch and had a nice delivery from FedEx waiting for me. Since it was damn near impossible to find a TRD Sport Double Cab 4x4 in magnetic gray that wasn't sold before it got to the dealership, I had to settle on my truck without a few options that I wanted. Two of those options were the bed mat and mudguards. The dealership wanted $320 to purchase and install these (yes, the bed mat had an "Installation charge") so I opted to check out eBay. I ended up buying a bed mat and mudguards for $140 shipped from a dealership in Florida - Both brand new OEM parts! Save $180 over what the dealership wanted. I love the composite bed thus far, but the bed mat is a must since the composite material is like a slip-n-slide and anything that you put in the bed has no chance of staying put. I haven't installed the mudguards yet, but I mocked them up to see how they look. They are a little bulky, but the amount of mud that gets kicked up behind the wheel wells is obscene. Especially in the rear where mud actually gets flung up into the rear bumper. They may be bulky, but they will certainly do the job.

My happy sight sitting in the driveway:

Brand new bed mat still in the original packaging:

The bed mat design fits perfectly (as expected) and is super grippy:

Hopefully I'll get the mudguards installed tonight. I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!

I'm glad you could manage that installation on your own. I know it was difficult. The power outlet in the bed is a nice feature.

The other day I finally got a chance to tow something! I have a 18' Tidewater center console that weighs in at 2,022lbs plus a 600lb trailer and it was loaded with 38 gallons of fuel and a bunch of gear so it would have probably tipped the scales at about 3,100lbs as towed. It was about half the towing capacity of the truck and it towed it like a champ! Acceleration was good, maintaining speed wasn't an issue at all and I couldn't tell any noticeable difference in braking over braking without the trailer. The on board fuel economy computer let me know quickly that fuel economy suffers greatly while towing. I got about 10.5mpg over a 50 mile highway haul at 65mph. I did notice that the instant fuel economy was much better at about 40mph - maybe around 15-16mpg which I think is reasonable. But overall, the towing experience was great!

Also, in case you didn't notice, I removed the lower valance and black vinyl sticker on the door B-Pillars. Looks much better now!

Yeah special ordered from another guy. When he came to buy it he backed out on the deal because his wife didn't know, so I swooped in the next day and got it.

I tried to show a full view shot next to a body of water but it won't post. Enjoy this close up of my tonneau cover. I often hate photobucket.

^^Nice. I'm not in love with the wheel/tire combination that came on mine but I suppose I'll be wearing those tires to the bitter end.
