A limited slip differential uses clutches, cones, or helical gears and pre-load to prevent wheel spin. They increase traction significantly, are smooth on the street, reasonably priced, but never will be 100% locked.

This came into our shop last with a blown up Gov-Lock and we replaced it with a fresh Nitro Gear set and AAM Torsen LSD. Adding some reliability and traction to the Chevy. We stock and sell LSD differentials for nearly every axle, and can install them as well!
