using 195 75 r 14 as stock and 265 75 16 witch is pretty close to my 31 10.50 r 15 it says my speedo is off by 24% the cop must have been being nice to me, i got pulled over for 69 in an 60 according to my speedo i was going 55 most of the time but i had found myself doing 62 according to my speedo coming down an hill for an brief time, the cop was behind me the entire time. i always figured it was about 5mph not 15.
btw i know its the tires not the lift that affect the speed reading, i added the lift info because its an 2wd lift thread. also the sticker with the tire info in my door jam is missing

You almost had me doubting myself, then I went and looked under the hood again... I'm not going to use any spacer for the steering, or alter the shift linkage in any way. I put the shifter in each position and noted its movement, and I think you have it backwards... if the body pulled up on the linkage it would be like jamming it further into park. This isn't going to be a problem though, because the opening in the firewall is large enough to allow the body to move up an inch without contacting the linkage (I may have to trim the firewall ever so slightly). I'm gonna do everything in my power to install it saturday or sunday.

Got an early start yesterday, took off the front bumper, easily pulled all the bolts on the passenger side (presoaking with PB Blaster works awesome), and realized that the hardware I bought ain't gonna cut it. I was using a link for a 4runner BL and they have very different bolts than a pickup. I could have gone and found all the stuff I needed but then I'd have to get the tabs welded for the bed bolts so I just ordered the 1" hardware from 4crawler. I'll continue when I get the correct hardware. Not giving up, just a temporary set back.
spent lots of time looking at steering/tranny linkage and I see what you are saying Abe, but I'm going to try it anyway I think I can make it work without messing with my shifter. How far along did you get trying to BL yours ?
PS- camping next weekend, that may set me back too. High temps are back (108+ degrees) so no wrenching after work. I only have fridays saturdays, and sundays "free".

the first link, the spindles are custom fabbed and will require you to run a set of uniball upper and lower control arms like the total chaos uniball setup. these will not bolt onto the stock control arms or balljoints and you will also have to run a heim joint steering setup.
the second link is the OMF spindles and they will bolt right on to the stock toyota control arms and balljoints and will also accept the stock steering rod ends.

lift springs
im looking for a set of lift springs for 87 toy 2 wheel drive but im not wanting a long travel or a lot of lift or something that requires welding new hangers..etc..just a 2-3 inch lift that will bolt on...any thoughts??

i have a 4in body lift that i desperately need to get rid of. i wanna get some good off road shocks to have fun in. At least a 2in lift, any suggestions. i was thinking about thsi with the pro comp shocks and diff drop. http://4x4.fatbobsgarage.com/toyota-...4wd-p4000.aspx

Lift for RWD axle
So Fabtech doesn't make a direct kit, but they have components that can be used as a kit. AndysAutoSport features it here:

My question is for the FTS200, the aal, how does adding a leaf lift a RWD? All the RWD Toy's I've seen are Spring Under Axle in the back. Wouldn't adding a leaf lower it?

An AAL gives the original spring more arch from less compression at normal load. Doesn't matter which side of the axle it's on.
Incidentally, factory PreRunners are build on a 4x4 chassis so they have leaves over the axle, BUT THEY DON'T COUNT.

Shocks
What are people using for front shocks after a lift. I cant find anything other than cheap autozone shocks for a 92 2wd pickup. I know t100 shocks will fit on the rear but any ideas on interchangeable shocks for the front?

Same question here. I did the 1.5 ball joint , reindexed the t bars on the front and got a nice lift . Out back I used the add a leaf. I am currently using air shocks in back to add load capacity for motorcycles. My issue is the front is very bouncy. On big hits its almost a pogo stick. I have regular Monroe gas shocks . I do not have enough rebound dampening. I have not been able to find non gas charged shocks. What can I use up front to increase rebound dampening with out breaking the bank?
