I am sure you will work your magic on it and it will look outstanding when done.

Good luck.

I really enjoy watching restorations like this. I always thought it'd be cool to have a first gen runner that was all fiberglass but don't know if it's even possible. Would be a heck of a way to lose some weight and an excuse for a sweet new paint job.

Keep us updated!

edit: Slacker I just checked out your business page and saw that you have the visor for 1st gen runners. That is AWESOME! I've been looking for one for a year. Do you mind telling me how they attach to the vehicle and your opinion on how they hold up on an off road rig? Thanks in advance.

How much weight do you save with the swap BTW?

Looking forward to seeing some more products available for the 2nd gen 4Runners, spent a while looking at all the pics on your site and all your fiberglass replacement parts look great!

Thanks ..
We dont sell the "hardware " to mount the visor .. so it's up to you ..
I dont like just using sheet metal screws , which other manufactures supply , so my recomendation for installation , and what we do here , is use NUTCERTS .. kind of like a pop rivit gun , but you drill a hole and "squash" a nut into the metal .. google it ..

also .. one day I actually hope to do a COMPLETE 4Runner fiberglass shell .. one day !!

dont actually know for sure ? .. not a whole lot though , as these panels are made for strength , not really for weight savings .

thanks guys .. and now you mention it Rob , I kind of like the christmas theme as well

I'm really excited to get working on the "hi clearance" 4runner .. molds are coming along very nicely . Owner of that unit is currently doing a SAS and rear 3 link on coils (I believe but dont quote me on that) , you'll want to keep an eye out for that "fiberglass 4Runner"

Very nice work. Does fiberglass bond well to POR-15?

Curious as to a round about estimate and turn around time on a job like this? You seem to have it down to a science!

Amazing work as always!

Awesome work slacker! Can't wait for my rear panel to get in. I'm the guy you talked to yesterday in Iowa.

What's this you say about 2nd Gen rear 1/4s?
