TRD header question for 1st gen Tacoma
Hey Y'all, I just purchased a pair of TRD headers off of Ebay, A Toyota dealership had 18 brand new headers.(Apparently they were found in a warehouse) I called them to confirm it was legit and purchased the headers. Later on someone on Tacomaworld pointed out on my post that these were for the 95-98 T100-and 98 Tacomas. I figured at first that the 5VZFE hasnt changed all that much if any but after further research the TRD headers for 95-98 have a different part number than the 99-04's. What type of problems will I run into during install? Will it only be after the Y-pipe?
Any info would greatly be appreciated!

My guess and it's only a guess is it comes down to O2 sensor location. The early 5zfe was not a wide band set and only had one O2 sensor located pre cat.
My guess is that they will work, but you might have to ad a O2 bung in one side or the other.

Reviving this thread. Picked up some trd headers brand new in box on fbm for a steal. Says they’re for a 99’ runner. Thought it’d be exactly what I needed for my 00’ tacoma but now I’m learning about a difference in y pipes among the years and want to know if my truck is one of them.
