update! I purchased 5 FJ Anthracite rims wrapped in Firestone Destination M/T 285/75r16 for 1200 off ebay! and that will allow me to purchase the stealth gobi rack!! hopefully i pick up the rack in a couple of months, when i put the gobi rack on, i'll add tree riser cables... here's a link i found on how to make them. I'll try to put pictures up of the wheels when my buddy receives them in the mail, unfortunately i don't get home from iraq for a couple months... heres that link TREE RISER CABLE here are those TRD Anthracites I bought...

Disgusting awesome, dude. I can't wait to get home from deployment and get my hands on my 99. It's encouraging to see a truck just like mine go from what I have to what I could have. Sick a$$ runner, man. Stay safe.

back from deployment, first thing I wanted to do was jump in the truck. Got it back, and within 3 days I've already broken some stuff, and done a bunch to it. First thing I did was drive over to the storage unit and put my sub back in, then put my anthracite wheels on with the 33's firestone M/T's. I got my hosue set up and then did the URD Short Shifter install, which is relatively easy to do. Then today I did the 231mm Tundra brake swap, and used a 1/4 inch wheels spacer to help out on rubbing the upper control arm/ brake clearance. Then I put on the Budbuilt skid.. powdercoated red. and then tried to do the daystar 1 1/2 inch polyurethane coil spacer for the rear, had troubles with the coil compressor and couldn't accomplish it, then when I was re-assembling, the bolt that holds the shock in place snapped, so the only thing i could do was wrapp that bitch with coat hanger till i dropped it off at the shop to get it fixed along with... the Camburg UCA's, half-shaft replacement, lower ball joint replacement, and daystar spacer, then once i get it back I'll do the sway bar bushing upgrade... then it'll be up to Perkins to fix my KMA multicarrier (i broke the weld on the swing out arm) and then have them start on my front bumper so I can get my winch in. then lastly I'll think about the 1in body lift, and definately getting the hood painted to match the truck.... E-locker will be a couple of weeks down the road So stoked to be home, gotta get more picture for you guys, but the house is a mess because we just moved in 3 days ago! heres a picture

You'll love Perkins' work by the way, he did an amazing job on my rear bumper and I've actually seen some of his 3rd gen front bumper work (I wished I would've known about him before I picked out my ARB).

thanks fellas. fixed the shock mounts, and taking the stock front bumper off so I can make a temp winch mount, and I relocated the turn signals to the corner running lights. I used a GM dual filament bulb and wire harness so I only have 1 bulb that is dual purpose ... dropped my rear KMA Multicarrier off at Perkins so Jason can fix the ty swing out and put on his badass hardware. THEN the truck broke down on the way home, my spark plug electrode broke off in Cylinder 1 on the pass side, and I was having some weird leaking issue on cylinder 2 on pass side as well, dropped it off at this Import shop and praying that I don't have an issue with any terrible scoring.. please be a cheap fix, oh and don't buy Bosch Platinum plugs, buy Champion! Droppin' the hood off for paint sometime soon.

OH YEA... purchased the belly Skid from Bud and then the Inchworm e-locker skid too... thanks BUD!! and Jason at Perkins

so i ended up blowing a head... the passenger side middle cylinder was the main issue, the spark plug threads were completely stripped out and the spark plug just sat in the hole... so instead of taking the time to find a head and having the possibility of the block still having issues, I found a Japanese Engine Import company that gets japanese engines with low mileage and sells them stateside for a reasonable price and more than half way through the swap. I also went and picked up a CS-144 Alternator out of a 95 Caddy Fleetwood. I have found that these alternators come out of a bunch of GM cars ranging from 86 to 02, but you have the best luck finding them in mid-90's V8 caddies, even transversely mounted, the only problem is the plug and wires will vary from 1 wire all the way to 3... so I just bought a new plug from the parts store.

Old Man Emu Stiffies and Heavies all the way around. the rear springs are a tad short, so I added the 1 1/2 inch polyurethane spaces from Wheeler's Offroad. I also finished the 2nd engine swap bc the first engine was a lemon, threw a rod not even 30 minutes after completion. So I've finished the 2nd engine swap, did the Camburg UCA's, the spacers and the budbuilt IFS and belly skids. So the CS-144 is working great, so are the 231mm Tundra brakes. URD short shifter... ah I love all these goodies... and Jason Perkins at Perkins Performance did an AMAZING job with my rear KMA multicarrier fixin it up. the double powder coat is unrearl. I'll work on some pictures for you guys

went up to Elbe Hills, WA about an hour east near Rainier National Forest and wheeled with a buddy with a badass Cherokee and I thought that his lifted locked geared winched jeep would out do me, I did everything he did minus the 5 foot deep mud pit he went through and but here's a picture of the day, I busted my glass on one of the harder courses... Elbe trails are so damn tight!

here's a close up
