98 4runner Build up

Howdy,

I picked up this 4runner off craiglist around 6months ago and with alot of work and new parts this is what I got so far.

Bought it on about 272k miles i've put around 10k miles on it so far and it's sitting at a little above 282k on the same engine and still runs very strong.

The night I bought it

Overall a pretty nice and clean yota right?

Annnd then.. I put on the front tires. As I said these tires are very fat and I knew this couldnt go exactly as planned it never does right? I put on the front tires and they were too fat and were rubbing the brakes and well I needed spacers...

(Left tire on jack not bent)
(Without the spacers)

Always interesting to see what other people build their 3rd gens into.
Welcome to the endless tinkering, not because you have to (well, mostly), but because you want to.

Edit:
Wow, those there are some fastfood tires! Out of sheer curiosity what size? What size wheel spacers?

And I actually ended up driving it around with the 33s on the back and 28s in the front for about a week while waiting for the spacers to ship. Haha that gave me some funny looks for sure :p

Ahh everything was great and then...

Was actualy kinda funny looking back the tire flew off so fast jetted off into the roundabout in front on me and hit a tow hook on a truck luckily he was chill. Tow hook though what a good place to hit eh?

was about half an inch away from that tree.. Atleast I didn't hit it right? Well ˟˟˟˟.. This was very bad my baby was being towed away on a tow truck to some shop to sit in a lot.. a shop yes the first time it's actually been in a shop and thats expensive. about a week later I get a call saying everything that needs to be fixed. Great.... 600$ in repairs AND I had to order new spacers this time the spacers came in with the right bolts too so thats good. Took the spacers to the shop and they fixed everything back up. Shortly after I finally get her back and oh It felt like so long. And yes they put on the spacers for me and I haven't had an issue with them yet.
