? for you guys running 285 Mud Terrains....

I was ordering tires today, and the 255s that i WANTED, were back ordered, so I had to go with 285/75 which I really didnt want. What kinda of issues have you guys run into in the front with the 285s ? Upper control arms ? Fenders ? Front bumper? Im running a 3 inch spacer lift in the front. My only main concern is the upper control arms. Let me know guys. thanks

no rubbing at all with 4" bs wheels. you should be fine on your stock rims.

You'll rub on the upper A-arms unless you buy some aftermarket ones (this is what I did) or you can shave the stock arms a little to clear them. Other than that, I have minimal rubbing only when i'm wheeling and making a turn or something. You also might rub slightly on the frame, but it's minimal and you probably won't even feel it.

i'm pretty sure I never rubbed on my stock, except near the pinch weld (the plastic stuff that I just cut off)

I ride 285's on my stock rims.

THEY DO RUB THE CONTROL ARMS very slighty.

My truck was not aligned correctly, the camber was way out of whack and they rubbed even more.

I bought thet 1.5" wheel spacers from all-pro offroad and I have been happy with that ever since.

I'm running 285s on stock rims and don't have any rubbing on the a-arms, just a little on the frame at full lock.

You just need to ask yourself what do you want more?

Wheel spacers=wider stance/better stability

A-Arms=Better ball joints, a little extra lift

Grind Stockers= Its free! (almost)

I'm thinking of getting new a-arms b/c my ball joints are starting to get bad so I might as well.

If i take the grinder to the damn A arms, as long as I dont go nuts with it, do I have to do any welding on the arm where I grind it? or is it pretty solid on that edge right there
