Question Yota (3rd Gen/Taco) Front Wheel Bearings

I have removed my spindles to get wheel bearings pressed in. The problem is that I went to 3 machine shops in the area that said that their clamps are too small to fit around the hub. We put it in a vise and beat the tar out of it, but still no luck. We tried a slide hammer but couldn't get it to fit around the lugs. How much does the stealership want for this opperation? Are there any tips on how to get the old bearing out? Should I fab a bracket out of 1/4 stock for the slide hammer? I am desperate for ideas, please help

I'm pretty sure the Hub Tamer, can get the job done. If you can find a suspention shop that has one or if you can rent one, it should have the right adapters. If you end up with one and are using an air gun, I have found that stuborn hubs require the additional use of a breaker bar for more torque than the gun can offer.

The more I read about later Toyota "engineering", the more I am happy I don't have one. On the 1st-3rd gen trucks and 1st-2nd gen 4Runners, swapping out wheel bearings (including races) is a ten minute job per side once you have the hub off. It can be done in a parking lot with a hammer and punch.
